DOG LAUGHS – A Cachorra Velha

Imagina só: você está cansado depois de um longo dia sem fazer nada, então o que você mais quer? Você quer fazer ainda mais de nada, é claro. Bem, isso não vai ser tão fácil para a velha Amarela na tirinha de hoje.

  • Esta é "Dog Laughs", uma tirinha de Gordon Bagshaw. Título: "A Velha Cachorra". Número de painels: 3. As três imagens seguintes correspondem a cada painel da tirinha. Cenário: Amarela, a velha cachorra da família, está tirando uma soneca no sofá, mas o mundo desta Rhodesian Ridgeback está prestes a mudar de uma grande forma por um pequeno companheiro.   • Painel 1 de 3: Amarela, a velha cachorra da família, está roncando feito um porco no sofá grande quando a mamãe entra com uma surpresa: o novo filhote de Sheltie da família, George, que está sentado em cima da velha cachorra. A mamãe diz: "Amarela, acorde, querida. Eu quero que você conheça o George."
  • Painel 2 de 3: George, o filhote de sheltie, está correndo para lá e para cá como um louco, cheio de pique e curiosidade. Amarela está chocada com a exibição de pura energia. George está fazendo todas as perguntas possíveis: "O que é isso? O que é aquilo? O que tem lá?" "Ah, eu vou destruir isso mais tarde", e por aí vai.
  • Painel 3 de 3: George, o filhote de sheltie, ainda está correndo para lá e para cá, sem mostrar sinais de parar. Amarela simplesmente se vira para voltar a dormir, enquanto diz para a mamãe: "Tinha que ser um movido a pilha, né?"

Picture this: You’re tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing. Well that ain’t happening for old Amarela in today’s comic strip.

  • This is "Dog Laughs," a comic strip by Gordon Bagshaw. Title: "The Old Lady." Number of panels: 3. The following three images correspond to each panel of the comic strip. Setting: Amarela, the old family dog, is taking a nap on the couch, but this Rhodesian Ridgeback's world is about to change in a big way by a little fellow. Picture this: You're tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing.   • Panel 1 of 3: Amarela, the old family dog, is sawing logs on the big couch when Momma comes in with a surprise: the family's new sheltie pup, George, who's sitting on top of the old girl. Momma says, "Amarela, wake up sweetie. I want you to meet George."
  • anel 2 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is running back and forth like a madman, full of beans and curiosity. Amarela is stunned by the display of pure energy. George is shouting all kinds of questions: "What's this? What's that? What's over there?" "Oh, I'll destroy that later," and so on and so forth."
  • Panel 3 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is still running back and forth, showing no signs of stopping. Amarela simply turns to go back to sleep while saying to Momma, "You just had to get the one with batteries, didn't ya?"
