DOG LAUGHS – Una Perra Vieja

Imagina esto: Estás cansado después de un largo día de no hacer nada. ¿Qué es lo que quieres más que nada? Quieres más de nada. Bueno, eso no va a suceder para la vieja Amarela en la tira cómica de hoy.

  • Este es Dog Laughs, una tira cómica de Gordon Bagshaw. Título: Una Perra Vieja. Número de viñetas: 3. Las siguientes tres imágenes corresponden a cada viñeta de la tira cómica. Escenario: Amarela, la perra vieja de la familia, está echando una siesta en el sofá, pero el mundo de esta Rhodesian Ridgeback está a punto de cambiar de manera significativa gracias a un pequeño compañero. Imagina esto: Estás cansado después de un largo día de no hacer nada. ¿Qué es lo que quieres más que nada? Quieres más de nada.   • Viñeta 1 of 3: La perra vieja de la familia, Amarela, está roncando como un tronco en el gran sofá cuando la mamá entra con una sorpresa: el nuevo cachorro sheltie de la familia, George, que está sentado encima de la perra vieja. Mamá dice: 'Amarela, despierta corazón. Quiero que conozcas a George'.
  • Viñeta 2 of 3: George, el cachorro sheltie, corre de un lado a otro como un loco, lleno de energía y curiosidad. Amarela está atónita ante la exhibición de pura energía. Picture this: You’re tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing. Well that ain’t happening for old Amarela in today’s comic strip.

  • This is "Dog Laughs," a comic strip by Gordon Bagshaw. Title: "The Old Lady." Number of panels: 3. The following three images correspond to each panel of the comic strip. Setting: Amarela, the old family dog, is taking a nap on the couch, but this Rhodesian Ridgeback's world is about to change in a big way by a little fellow. Picture this: You're tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing. Well, that ain't happening for old Amarela in today's comic strip.
  • Panel 1 of 3: Amarela, the old family dog, is sawing logs on the big couch when Momma comes in with a surprise: the family's new sheltie pup, George, who's sitting on top of the old girl. Momma says, "Amarela, wake up sweetie. I want you to meet George."
  • anel 2 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is running back and forth like a madman, full of beans and curiosity. Amarela is stunned by the display of pure energy. George is shouting all kinds of questions: "What's this? What's that? What's over there?" "Oh, I'll destroy that later," and so on and so forth."
  • Panel 3 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is still running back and forth, showing no signs of stopping. Amarela simply turns to go back to sleep while saying to Momma, "You just had to get the one with batteries, didn't ya?"

  • Panel 2 of 5 George the sheltie puppy starts by saying: Well, I just love the sound and feel of curtains being torn between my teeth.
  • Panel 3 of 5 George the sheltie puppy continues with saying, Oh, my favourite activity is rolling all over my pee mat... that's if I'm not shredding it to pieces.
  • Panel 4 of 5 George the sheltie puppy, doing his best to connect with Gord says, And I know it's not for everybody... it's a bit of an acquired taste, but I am quite fond of my poop.
