DOG LAUGHS – Una Perra Vieja

Picture this: You’re tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing. Well that ain’t happening for old Amarela in today’s comic strip.

Setting: Amarela, the old family dog, is taking a nap on the couch, but this Rhodesian Ridgeback's world is about to change in a big way by a little fellow. Picture this: You're tired after a long day of doing nothing, so what do you want more than anything? You want to do more of nothing.   • Panel 1 of 3: Amarela, the old family dog, is sawing logs on the big couch when Momma comes in with a surprise: the family's new sheltie pup, George, who's sitting on top of the old girl. Momma says, "Amarela, wake up sweetie. I want you to meet George."
  • anel 2 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is running back and forth like a madman, full of beans and curiosity. Amarela is stunned by the display of pure energy. George is shouting all kinds of questions: "What's this? What's that? What's over there?" "Oh, I'll destroy that later," and so on and so forth."
  • Panel 3 of 3: George, the sheltie puppy, is still running back and forth, showing no signs of stopping. Amarela simply turns to go back to sleep while saying to Momma, "You just had to get the one with batteries, didn't ya?"
